small scale sound system

Hi guys,... i just want to share a sound system design which i designed sometimes back. this system which now we are using at my church. down here is the simple diagram of how it is build or connected.

for more detail, i will provide the equipment list and the other information.

*click on the image for a better scale.

Instruments list:
1. Roland RD700sx *Digital Piano
2. Roland Juno D *Synthesizer Keyboard
3. Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage *Drum
4. Ibanez Bass Guitar
5. Rocktron Bass Amplifier *60 watt
6. Soundcraft LX7ii *24channel
7. dbx Driverack PA *LMS (Loudspeaker Management System)
8. Alesis Midiverb 4
9. dbx 166XL
10. DOD DI box
11. Yamaha P5000s
12. Yamaha P7000s
13. Electro Voice iForce 15"
14. Electro Voice iForce 18"
15. Yamaha Stagepas 300
16. Shure SM58
17. Shure SM57
18. Shure SM 87
19. Behringer RTA mic

As we know this system is just for a small scale room. as for the FOH (Front of House) i can conclude that the sound power is more than enough. The main system able to handle RMS 2000 watts program, RMS 4000 watts peak. But too bad, for the monitor system there's still lack of power, because the Yamaha Stagepas 300 is used as a monitor which placed in a side fill (stage is small).

As for the bass guitar, the signal were sent using DOD DI BOX, and for other alternative, we do micking direct to the amp using SM57. The channel were processed using dbx166XL.

RD 700SX is directly connect to the mixer which the instrument has it's own balance output, But the Juno D, still needs the DOD DI BOX.

Drum's micking is using SM57 and special for bass drum using SM87. dbx166XL used to process the sound. (compressor, gate, limiter)

All vocals using SM58.

Alesis MIdiverd 4 is used as the effect processor.

For some of you may noticed that there's no equalizer, crossover or compressor in the system. but it does,... the dbx Driverack PA do the job. This amazing equipment replaced 6 types of equipment. such as equalizer, crossover, compressor, delay, subharmonic and feedback destroyer.

For setting up the system, the dbx Driverack PA provide the setting wizard which using the RTA mic to get the room equalisation. So it's easy to get it done.

as for conclusion, the FOH is good, which the monitor system is still lacking of power.

compaq v3203tu (v3000 series)

this is the laptop inside part.
i do this because i got problem with the undesired noise and high temperature (normal oepration before cleaned is 60 to 75 c, after cleaning normal operation is around 50 to 55 c)
i open the part and clean the fan. and as a result, problem solved!

anyway if any of you wanna do this, my suggestion is beware and take good care when you going to disconnect all the cable. because it is a soft cable. for more instruction, you may go to the hp website and find for manual book for maintenance. the other thing is, you must understand about the bios setting, otherwise you may need an expert assistance.

all the best.
